I'd like to commend Brian on being brave enough to put that post up. And all of you for not getting mad, because I thought that at least someone might. Ratios, etc. And also Kate, for her previous efforts. If any of you ever feel like doing the nudging thing, then by all means, do it. I am admittedly a very poor moderator when it comes to FtVS, and there's no use arguing otherwise. And while I may indeed be very busy, so is everyone else -- meaning that such an excuse can only take me so far. In the wake of modding Priori, all of my Buffy games have been left in the vampire dust.
That's going to change, especially with FtVS. Even if doing everything that I do causes me to pass out, it's all going to get done, and in a timely fashion. No more threads that take a month to do, no more farting around and amusing myself with icons while I owe comments (not that i often do this, but sometimes is bad enough). It's unfair to everyone else, to you guys and I really do love this game. Capital L-O-V-E, even. Even now, I owe a Faith comment to Lara -- in fact, I've owed it for two days, and on both days have promised to get it done before bed -- then, both days, forgotten because it wasn't in my inbox.
No more of that, either. From now on, to do lists. From now on, FtVS - you all, are a (bigger!) priority. I also was thinking about how, although everyone is adult, the moderators really do need to set an example. If the mods aren't active and hardly do anything in game without being almost forced to do so, why would the players? They could simply say "well you didn't," or figure that the game was hitch hiking to Dead Town, if you catch my drift. Kate makes a fine example of a great mod, but I, not so much. If I'm not going to be a good player and I'm a mod, I certainly can't reasonably expect you all to be. So that's going to change. I'm sorry that it's taken me so long to do it, and I hope that some of you are willing to make the same pledge. I appreciate you guys. And should there be any heat over the aforementioned nudging, you will answer to me.
